HOW DO YOU A-L-T-I-T-U-D-E

Now that I've been up on the highest point of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), I've had a chance to experience the increased elevation (4500 feet higher than the 7500 feet in Estes Park I live at = 12,000 feet, which is 11,500 feet higher than Wisconsin).  Here's what I've learned:

A - an extremely COLD pit toilet seat as they are the only facilities at the top
L - little yellow-bellied marmots coming out of hibernation
T - thirsty all the time
I - incapable of breathing normal due to oxygen deprivation
T - tons of snow with cautious drivers, extremist skiers, snowshoers and snowmen creators
U - unending wildlife - elk, bighorn sheep, moose, mule deer, marmots, ground squirrels, chipmunks
D - desire to go hiking to alpine lakes and meadows
E - endless photographic opportunities as the clouds change the landscape every day

Needless to say, my life is glorious right now.  I thank the Lord everyday for the experience I'm having.  Think about it:
  • no meals to make,
  • no driving to work as a van shuttles me everyday,
  • I get to talk all day long to travelers,
  • I'm in God's creation,
  • immersed in nature, and
  • technology allows me to connect with anyone daily.
May your day be filled with God's small miracles!
